A lover-boy doctor and the 'drug underworld' connect and collide in this hospital drama. Dr Sipho Mhkize returns home after a spell overseas. He gains instant celebrity among his colleagues by operating successfully on a patient admitted with a gunshot wound. Competent and handsome, the bachelor doctor has female hospital staff openly lusting after him.

First to score is Sister Thwala, but she loses out to Sister Thobeka, who makes no secret of her love for Mhkize -- and who succeeds in winning his hand in marriage. Angry, Thwala turns for help to her contacts in the city underworld. Together they hatch a plan to exploit Mhikize’s access to legitimate drugs and set it in motion by kidnapping his wife. Mkhize first co-operates, then strikes back after his wife is freed by helping the police to set a trap for the drug smugglers and Sister Thwala.
